Monitoring and Follow-Up

The Effectiveness of the Technique

All reef management programs require monitoring and, of course, follow-up. The objectives of monitoring and follow-up are to assess ecosystem recovery, determine the effectiveness of techniques, and control factors that may cause changes or impacts on the reef. To track coral colonies, it is necessary to collect data and photographs to compare their evolution over time.

All individuals subjected to treatment, as well as control individuals (wild, recovering, and repopulated), are monitored. They are studied through long-term research using different techniques.
