Importance of Awareness

From Coral Soul we believe in the importance of raising community awareness about the value of conserving our marine ecosystems and recovering coral reefs. We consider it essential to understand the importance and fragility of these ecosystems, as well as the challenges they face and how we can contribute to their conservation.

Environmental Education Proposal

For this reason, we have created an innovative environmental education proposal developed by Coral Soul and Coral Guardian, bringing people closer to explore new ways of observing, learning, and feeling the seabed through coral reefs with the aim of conveying the importance of their conservation.

SDG-Aligned Purposes

Our purposes revolve around some of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), particularly 13 and 14, climate action and life below water respectively, and we demonstrate this through a triple objective:

Triple Objective

Bringing the population closer to coral ecosystems, helping them understand their importance in the marine environment and in our lives.
Raising awareness about the importance of preserving the marine environment and coral reefs, motivating the adoption of attitudes as active agents for their conservation.
Supporting educators by offering our activities as a complete, fun, interesting, and inclusive teaching tool to work on different curricular competencies.

Knowledge-Action Connection

In these activities we aim to connect knowledge with responsible action. By acquiring new knowledge and tools, we can rethink our ways of doing things, which leads us to modify our vision of our role as social agents, moving from being spectator audience to proactive people who participate in changing our community towards a more sustainable future.

Active and Experiential Methodology

Our educational work is based on an active and experiential methodology where through the activities we offer, discovery learning is generated, allowing decision-making, strengthening autonomy and critical thinking.

ICT-Based Learning

We also bet on ICT-based learning; thanks to virtual reality glasses we can immerse ourselves in the fantastic underwater world, betting on technological tools as a means of teaching-learning.

Collaborative Learning

Among our range of activities, we pay great attention to developing collaborative learning, seeking group objectives that allow teamwork, valuing attitudes of collaboration, empathy, assertiveness, and listening among many others.

Critical Thinking

We consider it important to offer activities that generate critical thinking-based learning, which is why we give space to debates and both individual and group reflection.

Game-Based Learning

And lastly, with equal importance, we believe in game-based learning; being motivating and fun makes it easier for people to assimilate knowledge and motivates them to continue learning.

Total Inclusivity

We ensure opportunities for all people, regardless of their abilities, social or cultural condition, sexual diversity, or gender identity. Therefore, activities are adapted to all educational stages, adhering to the established curriculum and to the specific needs of the center or classroom, betting on individual growth from a holistic approach.

Who is the program aimed at?

Coral Soul’s educational program is designed for all ages and tailored specifically to each educational stage, understanding that needs differ and content is adapted accordingly.

Activities can be attended by the general public, or requested by groups and organizations.

What requirements must I meet to participate?

Para poder participar con Coral Soul en “Descubriendo los Corales” solo debes contestar a las preguntas formuladas y ponerte en contacto con el equipo en el correo que se muestra. Lo más rápido posible nos pondremos en contacto contigo para resolver cualquier duda y coordinar la visita.

What do I need to do for my educational center to participate in the Discovering Corals Program?

Para poder asistir a vuestro centro y definir las actividades de manera personalizada según las necesidades e intereses, es tan sencillo como enviarnos la siguiente información:

What about special education centers?

Hemos adaptado nuestras actividades a cualquier necesidad requerida para que nuestro programa sea accesible a todas las personas. Para el desarrollo preciso y adaptado de las necesidades del alumnado o público, coordinamos previamente la visita teniendo en cuenta los factores necesarios para el disfrute y aprendizaje del grupo.

Can public institutions or organizations participate in the activities?

Sí, desde cualquier organismo e institución pública es posible participar en las actividades de Coral Soul. Ofrecemos nuestras propuestas para eventos, efemérides y festividades relacionadas con temática de conservación del medioambiente.

What is the cost of the activities?

El coste de las actividades depende de la elección de las mismas, el tiempo de las jornadas y las personas participantes. Desde Coral Soul creamos presupuestos adaptados a las diferentes necesidades y posibilidades de los centros o grupos interesados. Os animamos a escribirnos y así poder estimar un presupuesto exclusivo para cada caso.

Is it possible to include meals and travel to the activity location?

Ofrecemos un pack completo con una experiencia que integra todo lo necesario para pasar un día inolvidable.

What is the minimum number of participants required for the activities?

Desde grupos de hasta 20 estudiantes hasta centros escolares completos.

Is there flexibility to reschedule in case of unforeseen circumstances?

Sí, existe flexibilidad. entendemos que los imprevistos no dependen de nosotros y ocurren en la vida. Para poder aplazar o modificar alguna fecha necesitamos saberlo con un mínimo de 1 mes con el fin de organizar a nuestro equipo de trabajo y poner en valor el cuidado de las personas y su labor.
