At Coral Soul, we believe in the importance of raising community awareness about the value of conserving our marine ecosystems and restoring coral reefs. It is essential to understand the significance and fragility of these ecosystems, the challenges they face, and how we can contribute to their conservation.

For this reason, we have developed an innovative environmental education program in collaboration with Coral Guardian, bringing people closer to explore new ways of observing, learning, and experiencing the underwater world through coral reefs, with the aim of conveying the importance of their preservation.

As Jacques Cousteau said, “We protect only what we love, and we love only what we know.”

Our goals align with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly 13 and 14 – Climate Action and Life Below Water – expressed through three main objectives:

1. Foster a deeper connection between people and coral ecosystems, imparting a profound understanding of their significance within the marine ecosystem and in our lives.
2. Raise awareness about the need to preserve the marine environment and coral reefs, motivating people to adopt active conservation behaviors.
3. Support educators by offering our activities as a comprehensive, fun, engaging, and inclusive teaching tool that addresses multiple curriculum competencies.

In these activities, we aim to connect knowledge with responsible action. By acquiring new knowledge and tools, participants can rethink their approaches, transforming their role from passive observers into proactive individuals who contribute to a more sustainable community future.

Our educational approach is based on active and experiential learning, where participants engage in discovery-based activities that foster decision-making, autonomy, and critical thinking.

We also emphasize technology-enhanced learning. Using virtual reality glasses, participants can immerse themselves in the incredible underwater world, leveraging technological tools as a medium for teaching and learning.

Our activities prioritize collaborative learning, encouraging teamwork and cultivating attitudes such as cooperation, empathy, assertiveness, and active listening.

Critical thinking is central to our methodology, so we provide space for debates and reflection, both individually and in groups.

Finally, we value game-based learning, which motivates and engages participants, making it easier to absorb knowledge and fostering a desire to continue learning.

We are committed to providing opportunities for all individuals, regardless of ability, social or cultural background, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Activities are adapted to all educational stages, aligned with the established curriculum and the specific needs of each center or classroom, promoting individual growth through a holistic approach.
